SIERRA Steel-Mass® Model 640S Inline, Totalizing Air Flow Meter
Accurate monitoring of peak, low flow and total gas mass flow rates is a critical part of many industrial process control systems. Ideal if you need a portable analog or digital air flow meter that easily inserts into industrial ducts and pipes (up to 72 inches).

Recommended for compressed air flow, aeration basin air flow, combustion air flow, natural gas fuel flow, custody transfer and stack gas emissions flow monitoring. Steel-Mass Model 640S can be customized for your air velocity and intake applications with: Larger probe lengths; High temperature option (750 degrees F); Self-cleaning purge option for dirty flow environments; Wide range of process connections (including hot tap); and Multipoint flow averaging arrays for very large ducts, complete with a self-contained human-machine interface (HMI) panel for touch-screen field programming and system operation. SIERRA Flat-Trak™ Model 780S-UHP Ultra High Purity In-line Mass Flow Meter with Flow Conditioning
SIERRA's Ultra High Purity Model 780S-UHP is the industry-choice for bulk gas distribution service in semiconductor fabs, in pharmaceutical production and other ultra-clean processes. Real-time monitoring of gas usage provides reliable information on consumption and usage patterns in the manufacturing area and may be used for both billing and diagnostic purposes. The Model 780S-UHP is constructed with 316L electropolished tubing in choice of 7-10 Ra (UHP) or 20-25 Ra (HP) interior.

The Model 780S-UHP is available in pipe sizes from 1/2-inch up to 12-inches and are offered with Buttweld connections and a VCR probe-connection fitting. Larger line sizes are available upon request. The Model 780S-UHP also features Sierra’s unique dual-plate flow conditioning element to eliminate velocity profile distortions as well as swirl and temperature stratification in the gas stream. This product reduces piping straight run requirements to as little as three upstream diameters. As a result, you save money on installation costs when compared to an orifice-plate where least 20 upstream piping diameters are required for optimal performance.

In addition, the Model 780S-UHP features Sierra's well-known Smart Electronics Package for field-rangability, field flow-range adjustment, and field validation and diagnostics. The Model 780S has outstanding low-velocity sensitivity and exceptional accuracy. The Model 780S-UHP has very low pressure drop, and wide turndown.

The Model 780S-UHP is hazardous area approved by CSA and CRN (Canada), FM (USA), ATEX, CE and PED (EU), IEC Ex (Australia), GOST R (Russian Federation) and Chinese Pattern Approval (China). Meter accuracy is +/ 1% of reading plus +/-0.5% of full scale with repeatability of +/- 0.2% of full scale.

SIERRA Flat-Trak™ Model 780S Inline Mass Flow Meter with Flow Conditioning
The SIERRA Flat-Trak® Model 780S offers improved measurement capabilities in installations where long straight pipe runs are not available. The meter incorporates Sierra’s unique dual-plate flow conditioning element to eliminate velocity profile distortions as well as swirl and temperature stratification in the gas stream. This product reduces piping straight run requirements to as little as three upstream diameters. As a result, you save money on installation costs when compared to an orifice-plate where at least 20 upstream piping diameters are required for optimal performance.

Sierra has certified the Model 780S thermal mass flow meter for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) measurement meeting all requirements defined by the EPA (40 CFR Part 98). This product is optimized for highly accurate and repeatable mass flow measurement of methane (CH4) as well as N20, SF6, HFC’s, PFC’s and CO2 as called out in the EPA mandate. Sierra has long supplied its Model 780S to gas and electrical producers around the world. With its built-in Dual-Plate flow conditioning element, the Model 780S is an ideal meter for measuring gas flow in cramped or constrained piping environments where long straight pipe runs simply do not exist. The Model 780S is routinely used by gas and power plants to measure methane to compressors, pre-heaters, boilers and other process equipment.

SIERRA’s Flow=Trak™ Dual-Plate Flow Conditioning Element represents an innovative and economical solution that allows any flow measurement instrument to maintain top performance in heavily constrained piping environments, where long-straight pipe runs simply do not exist. Flow=Trak effectively eliminates velocity profile distortions, swirl and temperature stratification in the gas stream.

Flow=Trak creates a uniform velocity profile with Dual-Plate Technology that uses special geometry in the sizing and positioning of two stainless steel perforated plates. Sierra developed this techonology through years of mass flow measurement experience.
